I have a predilection for NPR's Science Friday and this Friday they did this awesome show on camouflaging red blood cells so the body won't reject them when given in transfusions. Scientists have figured out a way to give red blood cells camo, like little army coats, so they can escape the notice of the immune system if the blood type isn't the same as the one in the body. How cool is that!!!
